“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stand right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he is wrong.”

                     -Abraham Lincoln

This is true, when you stand with someone that stand right than you are going to do right, but when that person starts doing wrong then you have to let them go because they might influence your actions. You hose the people you stand with, and they should always be people who are firm on their feet, people who are choosing the right. If you stand with the wrong people than you better be sure that you are going to go down the wrong path too.
