Ambulance Dispatcher
Duties
and Responsibilities: Dispatchers
answer 911 telephone calls and they determine the type of emergency based on
agency procedures. They also give medical instructions before emergency
personnel arrive. They also keep detailed records about the calls they get.
Salary:
$36,300 annually
Education: Ambulance dispatchers must have a High
School diploma. They also need to pass a written exam and a type text. In some occasions
they may need to pass a background check, lie detector and drug test, and a
hearing and vision test.
Reflection: Personally I would not want to be an
ambulance dispatcher because it doesn’t really catch my attention. This career seems
a little boring to me to say the truth but I do respect people that get into
this career.
