Basketball
James Naismith is
the inventor of basketball.
He invented basketball in 1891, while working at the YMCA Training
School in Springfield, Massachusetts.
James Naismith invented basketball because at
YMCA, they needed at sport to play indoors because it was too cold outside for
football or baseball.
In the beginning of basketball every time you scored you had to get
the ball from the basket because it still wasn’t an open circle in the bottom.
At first basketball was played with a peach basket
and soccer like ball. Back then there were only 13 rules.
The first game was 9 vs. 9.
