Medical Illustrator
Duties and
Responsibilities: Medical Illustrators take photos and graphic images for
professionals who work in patient care, teaching, education and research. They take
photographs or films of patients; they also make 3-D images of structures of specific
parts of the body.
Salary: a median
salary of $62,000-$100,000
Education: A master’s
degree from an accredited two-year graduate program in medical illustration.
Reflection: I think this is a great career for someone who has an
artistic side but wants to work in the medical field. But unfortunately I don’t
think this would be the right type of career for me I don’t really know how to
draw and I’m not much of an artist myself.
