                             A Choice: Poverty or Prosperity
“I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I wanted to work, and I decided that I would change it.”

Reflection: I think it is amazing how much a person can accomplish when they really set their mind to it. He is a perfect example of the saying “If you really want something, nothing can stop you.” I think lots of people can really use his words they are correct and they show that you should never let anything stand in your way. No matter how hard something seems it is not impossible.

“You can’t be right by doing wrong; you can’t be wrong by doing right.”
                                                                   -Thomas s. Monson

I think this is very true, there is no way no can do something wrong and feel right about it. Wrong is wrong and right is right when you do either one of them you can tell which it was. If you do the right thing then you feel good about yourself but if you do the wrong thing then you’re going to feel it, your remorse will remind you and that how you can tell that you’ve done the wrong thing.

“Enthusiasm makes the difference.”
          -Dr.Norman Vincent Peale

Enthusiasm is defiantly what makes the difference. If you have enthusiasm for something then you are going to put ion lots of effort and hard work for it because it’s something that you want. If you don’t have enthusiasm for something then you’re not even going to bother trying because it’s not something that you truly want. There are so many teens that don’t really put in any effort in school which is sad because when they grow up they’re going to wish that they had more enthusiasm for school.

“It’s not about how to achieve your dreams. It’s about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma (destiny, fortune, good luck) will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you.”
                             -Dr.Randy Pausch

I think this is very true, if you do live your life the right way then your karma will take care of itself because you’ve done everything right. The good things that you want will come to you they will be attracted to you. If you do the wrong thing then your karma will be bad because you’re not taking care of your life and your only doing bad things which only lead to more bad thing in your life.

“Every time I've done something that doesn't feel right,
it has ended up not being right.“

-Mario Cuomo

This is very true I know from experience that this is true. Sometimes we really don’t know whether something we have done is the right thing or not but when we start feeling guilty it’s usually a sign that it was something wrong. When something that you’ve done feels wrong then you should know that it’s because you did the wrong thing and try to fix it before it gets worse.

“Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education.”
                                -M.L. King Jr.

Intelligence plus character seems about right to me. After all you need a strong, yet still king and compassionate character to take you many places. And intelligence is something that everyone already has but most people decide to do the not so inelegant thing and not use it for one reason or another.
